Seamus Dolan is a photographer and digital designer at Rochester Institute of Technology’s  School of Photographic Arts & Sciences. He will graduate in May 2026 with a BFA in Visual Media Photography with an emphasis on graphic design and marketing. He works at the intersection of eCommerce photography and digital advertising, using both skills to create striking brand assets. His design work is crisp, practical, and effectively able to communicate complex ideas. Through many personal and professional projects, Seamus has developed a unique creative vision, and his work speaks to the curiosity and confidence he possesses. He values authenticity above all and thrives when building meaningful relationships with those around him. Whether on his own or part of a team, he is organized, equipped, and always ready to listen and learn to get the job done.
Every great photo already exists in some form, and it’s our job as photographers to find them. My experience with art is based on exploring the world and discovering new ways to document it. Each creative choice I make is informed by my interests, mainly film and music. I always try to incorporate something unique to me in my projects, whether it be an editing style or even song lyrics. It’s an intensely personal process, but I pride myself on my ability to execute a client’s vision while still remaining authentic to my style. Whether it be a photo, a design or even an advertising campaign, the best version of a project exists out in the ether somewhere, and I think the journey to find it is why we became artists in the first place.
